Updated Crisis Incident Response Plans Now Available for Project Teams |
Team members from Legal, MarCom, Project Delivery, Risk Management, and Safety have met to review our incident response guidelines and create tools to help our team members be better prepared when a crisis occurs. We’ve created these tools based on the response to crises that have occurred on our jobsites and to capture the lessons learned with the intent of improving our response.
As a result, we’ve created Crisis Incident Response and Crisis Action Plans to provide guidance for navigating the unexpected. These plans are now available on Dirt for project teams to access. We encourage team members to print these documents and display them on bulletin boards and in common areas of jobsite trailers so they can be easily accessed.
Here’s an overview of what these documents include to help team members guide their jobsites through a crisis:
-
A tiered chart identifying what qualifies as Low, Moderate, or High Severity incidents and what incidents should be handled by the project team, handled by entity leadership, or elevated to Barton Malow Holdings for support.
- Separate guidelines for managing Low and Moderate incidents, and High Severity incidents.
- A Communications Checklist and Action Plan deliverables for High Severity incidents.
This updated plan does not circumvent our Safety Manuals, Site Specific Safety Plans, Safety Incident Standard Practice, Attachment AQ on Crisis Incident Management included in the Safety Manuals, or Emergency Action Plans for our offices or jobsites. There are, however, opportunities to enhance the framework of both our Safety Incident Standard Practice and the Attachment AQ on Crisis Incident Management over time.
In the coming weeks and months, we will coordinate training with Safety team members from all Barton Malow entities and operating units.
