Off-Campus Move-In Details: For transfer students living in university-affiliated or independent off-campus housing, please refer to the materials shared with you from your residential company for details and dates regarding move-in.
Students living off-campus will check-in for Transfer Student Orientation (TSO) on Friday, August 15 between 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. TSO check-in will take place under the tent in Parking Lot 5A, located across the street from the Baker Building, on the corner of Terrace Place and 21st Avenue S. During TSO check-in, you will receive your welcome gifts, orientation schedule, and important information.

On-Campus Move-In Day Details: Transfer student move-in for on-campus residents is scheduled for Friday, August 15. Students will be provided with a specific afternoon move-in time with their room assignment information on August 8. Move-in times will range from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on August 15, and students should report to the check-in location at their assigned time. If you do not receive your assignment, please reach out to housing@vanderbilt.edu.
If you are attending International Student Orientation, you can move in between 8:00 a.m. and midnight CDT on Wednesday, August 13. You must complete the Pre-Arrival Form to move in early. You will receive an email with specific instructions for move-in based on the arrival details you submitted in the Pre-Arrival Form. For more information on move-in, visit the Housing and Residential Experience website.
If you are not attending International Student Orientation, your move-in will take place on Friday, August 15, at your assigned time. Please park in Lot 5A, located across the street from the Baker Building, on the corner of Terrace Place and 21st Avenue S. Key pickup will be available under the tent in Lot 5A, please follow posted signage to receive your key and important Transfer Student Orientation items. If you arrive after 3:30 p.m. on August 15, your key will be at your area desk listed on the Housing website.

ISSS SEVIS Check-In Info: After arrival to the U.S. and to Vanderbilt, all incoming international students entering with an Initial or Transfer Pending I-20 or DS-2019 must complete a mandatory SEVIS Check-in. The check-in process is virtual and collects copies of your F-1 or J-1 status documents and the information ISSS needs to report your arrival in SEVIS. You must also complete the SEVIS check-in process prior to completing your I-9 (for on-campus employment), or before applying for a Social Security Number (SSN), driver’s license, or state ID card. Be Smart-Be Safe Online Modules: As a new student, you are required to complete the Be Smart-Be Safe online education modules to assist with making informed choices regarding your health and safety, as well as the health and safety of other students and the larger Vanderbilt community. Information regarding these modules has been sent from @safecolleges.com with the subject line “Mandatory Be Smart-Be Safe Modules to Complete.” The modules will need to be completed by the deadlines issued in the email.

International Student Orientation:The International Student Orientation (ISO) schedule is now available! As an international transfer student, it is your choice whether you would prefer to participate in ISO or join your domestic peers to only attend Transfer Student Orientation (required). The deadline to sign up for International Student Orientation was July 15. If you have any questions regarding International Student Orientation, please contact residentialcolleges@vanderbilt.edu.
ISO is a series of sessions designed to support your transition to college and the U.S. ISO will also offer you a chance to settle in and meet new people before the rest of the class arrives. At the conclusion of ISO, you will join your peers and participate in the required Transfer Student Orientation.

Shipping Packages for On-Campus Move-In: Packages will be ready for pickup at the Student Life Center Garage temporary location (just off Vanderbilt Place) or at the Station B Post Office (Rand Hall) beginning on your on-campus move-in date (Friday, August 15). You will receive an email package notification for each package received, with instructions on the pick-up location. Note that students living off-campus can purchase a mailbox for $25. More details about shipping packages can be found online.
