Hello Tufts Jumbo,
This week we're sharing important information about Health and Wellness at Tufts. We're introducing you to three different departments: Health ServiceCounseling and Mental Health, and Health Promotion.

This Week's News and Announcements

Health Service 

Located on the Medford/Somerville campus across from Fletcher Field, Health Service is your place for primary health care. SMFA students are also able to receive primary care at the Kenmore-Harvard Vangard downtown. All students have access to services after hours in an emergency.
All office visits are covered by the University health fee!
Students can:
  1. Make an Appointment by calling 617-627-3350 (Put this number in your phone!)
  2. Walk in to Health Service for acute illness or injury

Students on the residential quad Health Service building
We have a diverse, dedicated staff of mental health clinicians at Tufts. Counseling and Mental Health is located on the northern end of the Medford/Somerville campus. SMFA students are also able to receive mental health services on site at 230 The Fenway. There is a Counselor-On-Call for all students should they need help after hours with a mental health emergency.
Counseling services are confidential and free to undergraduates!
Student can:
  1. Make an Appointment by calling 617-627-3360. (Put this number in your phone!
  2. Reach the Counselor-On-Call after hours in an emergency by calling the University Police at 617-627-3030. (Put this number in your phone too!)

Health Promotion
In addition to Health Service and Counseling and Mental Health, Tufts has an office dedicated to health education and prevention initiatives. Health Promotion works with a variety of students and student groups to develop programs related to alcohol and drugs, sleep, stress management, and nutrition.
