Participate in our Women’s History Month recognition ceremony and have two chances to win! |
Since 1987, the month of March has been recognized as National Women's History Month. This offers us all the opportunity to recognize and reflect on how women in our personal lives have impacted us.
Write a paragraph or two to recognize a woman that has had a significant positive impact on your life using the form below, deadline for submissions is March 24th. You will be automatically entered into the $50.00 Hannaford Gift Card drawing. Please note that these will be on display in a scrolling slideshow at the luncheon.
The drawing will take place at the Women's History Month luncheon. The luncheon will be on Wednesday, March 26th 12:00pm at the UMA Ellsworth Center.
The Luncheon will also have an additional $50.00 Hannaford Gift Card Door Prize drawing. Please RSVP so that we can better plan the event!

The spring welcome back bags were a big hit! A huge thanks goes out to the Ellsworth Student Association for sponsoring.
If you missed grabbing yours this past week you still have the chance but only a few remain! Just come into the Ellsworth Center and ask at the main office!

| Photo Contests and Kahoot |
If you missed it last fall don't let it slip you by in spring. UMA has a photo contest and a trivia Kahoot that runs each week with prizes any student can win, from anywhere!
For the photo contests, Gift cards will be awarded to those students whose photos receive the first ($30), second ($20), and third ($10) highest votes for each theme.

For the Trivia, Be sure to use your UMA ID number so they can track your participation and enter you in our end-of-the-semester prize raffle that includes everything from board games and hammocks to iPads and Amazon gift cards!

Winners will read their poems with the 2025 keynote poet, Natalie Diaz, author of When My Brother Was an Aztec, April 26, at the UMA Augusta campus!

Know anyone that is thinking about taking college level courses, but feels unprepared? Or thinks that it has been to long since they last took classes at any level?
The wonderful folks from RSU 24 are offering a college transition course here at the UMA Ellsworth Center! The course starts Feb 25 and runs 12 weeks. It will cover topics like math and english as well as general skills to support your college success.

UMA is preparing to celebrate its 60th Anniversary during the 2025-2026 Academic Year!
The 60th Anniversary Committee has been busy brainstorming possible themes for the anniversary, and would like your input. Please use this survey to rate the four themes the committee is considering. The survey is open through February 7.
