Seasons Greetings, Pilot families!
Fall semester has ended, your student is home, and hopefully you're embracing all the lovable commotion you have missed while they were here with us on campus! It was a semester of hope and renewal brought to brilliant light by the awe-inspiring students you share with us.
It is a pleasure and privilege to work with you in support of our students! Reach out to parents@up.edu with any questions or concerns you have. University offices will be closed December 24 to January 1 and will reopen January 3, 2023.
In Partnership,

A Christmas message from Fr. Peter Walsh, C.S.C. Director of Campus Ministry
At the end of November, members of the UP community gathered on the academic quad to light what is believed to be the tallest living Christmas tree in Oregon (or the world)! This is my first semester on The Bluff and I found so much joy in this event. In spite of the cold and rain, students ate cookies, drank hot chocolate, and received Christmas ornaments as President Kelly lit the tree and we sang Christmas carols.
With hopes of extending that same joy and sense of community to your homes, I share the following blessing:
O God of Hope, Gift of Light in this winter twilight, we are grateful for the blessings of community, youthful enthusiasm, and unrestrained fun our students bring to The Bluff. May they enjoy this holiday season and the rest, celebration, and family time it brings until they return to our quiet campus, which longs for their return.
We pray through the one whose birth we celebrate, Christ our Teacher and Lord. Amen

FAFSA due January 15, 2023
|
Continuing students must submit the 2023-24 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) by the priority deadline for maximum consideration. If you completed a previous year FAFSA, you can choose to complete a “renewal” FAFSA, which will pre-populate much of your information.

Health Insurance Waivers due Jan. 20
|
All Full-time undergraduate students who do not want coverage by University sponsored health insurance for spring semester MUST complete the online waiver, even if you completed one for the fall semester. Students have until Friday, January 20th, 2023 to waive this health insurance.

| Giving Tuesday was a success, thanks to support from parents, alums and the Pilot community! Gifts of all sizes make a difference: there is still time to consider a tax-deductible gift by December 31 to empower all Pilots to pursue their boundless potential.
