Welcome to the December 2024 edition of the Warrior Family Association e-newsletter. I am sure you are looking forward to spending some quality time with your students over the holiday break. We had a tremendous fall semester here at Indiana Tech, and we are proud of our students’ many accomplishments.

As you'll see in the video below, the "We" in “We Are IT!” is what we celebrate this time of year. We are a community that comes together in support of our students. We had a lot of fun filming this video in our newly renovated automation lab and at a recent women’s basketball game. The spirit of our Warrior family, magnified by the significance of the holiday season, was on display that evening!

Dr. Einolf and I wish you all a wonderful holiday season and we look forward to seeing you in the new year.

Classes begin: Monday, Jan. 13
Last day to drop/add classes: Friday, Jan. 24
Midterms: Monday, March 3, through Friday, March 7
Spring Break: Saturday, March 8, through Sunday, March 16
Last day of classes: Friday, May 2
Final exams: Monday, May 5, through Thursday, May 8
Commencement: Saturday, May 10

Final Thoughts from a Fellow Mom

As we’ve done for the past couple of years, Karl and I will spend Christmas in Pittsburgh with our two sons, Nicholas and Thomas. We rented an Airbnb, and our plans include a Pittsburgh Penguins hockey game, Christmas Eve Mass, dinners with friends and a Pittsburgh Steelers football game on Christmas Day. Even though the Steelers are doing well this year, they are playing the Kansas City Chiefs. I am not sure they will win, but the four of us will have a great time!

After Christmas, we will visit my mom, Karl’s dad, and our siblings and family in New Jersey. We enjoy this annual trip, and we look forward to continuing our many family traditions. We especially enjoy our annual family experience at an Escape room! We then head back to Pittsburgh and we will ring in the new year with our family and friends there.
