Why was Career Preparation Essentials created?
"We created Career Preparation Essentials to ensure that all students have access to the knowledge and stepping stones needed to pursue their interests.  The series of short videos detail crucial skills needed for career exploration, from guided self-reflection, building connections, to negotiating. These essentials are meant to meet students wherever they are in their career exploration and open to all class years -  we look forward to you joining us!" -- Leigh Sylvia, Associate Director, Director of Mentoring & User Experience
NEWS & UPDATES
A Note from the Director of the ’68 Center
When President Mandel postponed Winter Study, we realized January presented an unprecedented opportunity for students to jumpstart their summer planning. Then January Jumpstart was born! The goal? To provide students with exposure to different industries, connections with alumni, and lifeskill building opportunities. The positive response has been nothing short of remarkable. This winter, over 500 individual students applied for wINTERNships, EphLink Projects and Job Shadowing alone.

Haven't had the chance to jumpstart your summer internship or post-graduate plans yet? We've got you covered! These final weeks have been and will continue to be filled with several different events and alumni speakers. Check out the January Jumpstart Events Calendar to get a jumpstart on your future!

First Year of Virtual Career Treks = Success
In a typical year, we would be traveling to New York City, Washington, D.C., Boston and several other destinations to visit with alumni on our annual career treks but this year is anything but typical! We have been hosting all career treks virtually, which has allowed us to introduce some exciting, new treks this year. THANK YOU to all of the fantastic alumni that have volunteered and dedicated their time to sharing their experiences with current students!

This year, we received 1,233 total applications and 427 individual students applied. We awarded grants to 136 students. Congratulations to those students who received a grant.
