Dear Student,
Discounted Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) passes are now available to students for Spring 2023.
Tufts University, in partnership with Edenred Commuter Benefit Solutions, has implemented an online storefront for the purchase of MBTA Passes. To access the MBTA Storefront:
- Log into SIS.
- Navigate to the “Bills & Balances” tab.
- Click “Purchase MBTA Pass.”
All pass orders will be discounted at 11% off the full MBTA price and must be ordered by January 8, 2023. The spring semester pass will be valid from February through May 2023. Before you purchase your MBTA pass, you will have the ability to update your delivery address.
While Tufts and Edenred have coordinated to intake requests and facilitate the purchase of passes for this MBTA program, the program is ultimately administered by the MBTA. Any questions or concerns you may have regarding public transit ridership or associated issues would be best addressed to the MBTA. Similarly, refunds for Semester passes are at the sole discretion of the MBTA.
Please note that Link, Bus, Inner Express Bus, and Outer Express Bus passes will be on Charlie Cards. Zone Passes (including Zone 1A) will be in ticket form. For more information regarding pass types, visit the MBTA website.
