CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CLASS OF 2019!
Among their many accomplishments, SMPA's class of 2019 has:
  • garnered a front-page byline in The Washington Post;
  • served as president of the GW Student Association;
  • interned at every major national news outlet, on the Hill at the State Department and in the Executive Office of the President;
  • worked with professors on groundbreaking new research and books;
  • and much much more.
Journalism and Mass Communication major Tyriana Evans was the GW Commencement Ceremony student speaker, delivering her speech on overcoming fear to the crowd of nearly 25,000 graduates and their families this morning.
“You have learned to be victorious over fear,” she told her fellow graduates.
Caps off to the SMPA class of 2019! We look forward to seeing what you achieve as you move upward and onward.
