Hello Jumbos,
We can't wait to welcome you to campus! We're writing to share information and resources for Orientation 2019. 

Move-In Schedule

August 22, 23 and 24, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.: Move-In for Pre-Orientation

If you are participating in a Pre-Orientation program, you'll move in a few days ahead of time and your first stop should be the Mayer Campus Center to check-in with your Pre-Orientation Group and Housing Operations.

August 27, 12 - 5 p.m.: Move-In on the Fenway Campus (First-Year SMFA Students)

Your first stop should be your Residence Hall, 1023, 1025, or 1047 Beacon, where you will pick up your key and student ID. Residential Life staff will be on hand to help answer questions and assist with Move-In.

August 28, 8 - 11 a.m.: Move-In on the Medford Campus

Your first stop should be the designated drop-off location for your Residence Hall, where you will pick up your key and student ID. If you arrive after 11 a.m., head to the Office of Residential Life and Learning in 20 Professors Row to pick up your keys and student ID.

Orientation is jam-packed with activities that will introduce you to our campus and community. You'll receive an Orientation booklet when you arrive, and we keep a full list of events on the Orientation Calendar.

We want to highlight a few key events for your first day of Orientation, August 28: 
  • 1:30 - 2:45 p.m.: Matriculation Ceremony - During this ceremony on the Academic Quad with President Monaco you will be officially enrolled and welcomed to Tufts!
  • 5 p.m.: Parents and Families Depart - It's time for student-only programming to begin. Bus Departs Medford Campus to the SMFA for parents and families. 
  • 10:30 p.m.: SMFA students transported back to the Fenway campus (BFA only)

Move-In Help

We'll have several groups of student volunteers on hand to help answer questions during Move-In:
We'll also have staff members from Residential Life and Student Affairs ready to help direct you when you arrive.
