J.MAK has been hitting the road with all the MAKs in his new Grand Wagoneer for a few Grand American Road Trips. Here are some highlights from East Coast drivable J.MAKers ...

CHATHAM BARS INN

TROUTBECK

The MAKs zipped over to nearby Troutbeck, an hour away from Chez MAK in New York's Hudson Valley, for some summer fun and a stay in the resort's new Benton House. This historic house was renovated with 1 and 2BR suites that each have a porch/patio and their own private entrance.

HARBOR VIEW

J.MAK brought Mama.MAK to Martha's Vineyard for a visit to the Harborview Hotel last spring. And while they did not lounge by the pool because it was April, they did sightsee around charming Edgartown, ride bikes and visit Edgartown Light (right in front of the hotel!).

INN AT PERRY CABIN

J.MAK took the MAK.mobile down to St. Michael's, Maryland for a solo trip to visit the Inn at Perry Cabin where he hit the links, boated and biked around the charming town - and caught a little downtime overlooking the tranquil Miles River, too.

DON'T MISS: The Toast - At 5pm every evening a bell chimes in true Naval tradition and glasses are raised for a toast under the flag to Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry and his battle cry, “Don’t Give Up The Ship.”

THE CHATWAL
