Welcome to the January edition of the Warrior Family Association e-newsletter. I hope you are staying warm with the cold winter season we are having. Hopefully, your student is off to a great start to the semester!
Our faculty and staff continue to work hard to align classes and design programs with the needs of the workforce in mind for the disciplines that we teach. We are proud of the many corporate contacts who regularly meet with our students, as we are committed to ensuring that your student will be ready for their first job after graduation. Encourage your student to reach out to our Career Center to learn more about the many employers who will be on campus this spring.
Our students are already in their second week of classes, and it is wonderful to see campus bustling with activity again! Our basketball and hockey teams came back early from the holiday break to continue their seasons, and it’s great to have our students back again to cheer them on at our home games. Our students have also been busy with the many events coordinated by our Office of Student Engagement. One exciting new change this January is that our fitness center on campus is now available to students 24/7. You may read more about this at the following link: https://studentlife.indianatech.edu/wellness/24-7-access/
Finally, Tuesday, Feb. 18, is Indiana Tech's Annual Day of Giving! This is a day that our Warrior family rallies around our students to provide extraordinary opportunities for students that may not be possible without our donors' generosity. There are so many ways to support students at Indiana Tech, and I encourage you to click on the graphic below this paragraph for information on how you can take part in our Day of Giving and make a difference in the lives of our students. No donation is too small, and they all add up to make a huge impact!

Final Thoughts from a Fellow MomKarl and I enjoyed spending time with our sons and extended family over the holidays. We had fun at the sporting events we attended, despite the Pittsburgh Steelers losing to the Kansas City Chiefs. We continued our annual tradition of visiting an Escape Room with my brother and his family in New Jersey. It was extremely difficult, but we made it out in 87 minutes with only three minutes to spare!
After the holidays, Karl and I spent some time at a conference for university presidents and their spouses/partners. I love this conference because there are sessions that are specifically designed for spouses. In fact, when I attended the conference for the first time back in 2018, I got the idea to begin this newsletter!
We also had a few trips after the conference where we were able to meet with alumni and donors in Florida. We continue to be blessed with many benefactors who love and support Indiana Tech and who are grateful for the work our faculty and staff do every day to educate and support students.
