The December Edition | December 11, 2025

Welcome to the December Edition of the Comfort Connection!

December is a month that epitomizes the holiday season, so in recognition of that, we've gathered resources and personal stories to help you (and your loved ones) celebrate seasonal gratitude, love, and support for one another — and finding joy in the smallest things!
“The little things? The little moments? They aren’t little.” Saying thank you, holding the door for someone, these little moments can change the tone of your whole day.

One of the most powerful ways to rewire your brain for more joy and less stress is to focus on gratitude.

Monthly Spotlight: Gratitude

Did you know? Having an attitude of gratitude changes the molecular structure of the brain, keeps the gray matter functioning, and makes us healthier and happier. When you feel happiness, the central nervous system is affected. You are more peaceful, less reactive, and less resistant.
Now that’s a really cool way of taking care of your well-being as you go through not just the holiday season but the rest of your life....

Caregiver of the Month

Giving gratitude for...
Families of all kinds!
Congratulations to our latest Caregiver of the Month, Candise G!
We’re delighted to honor Candise G. as our Caregiver of the Month! Candise’s warmth, compassion, and attention to detail make her an outstanding member of the COHC family. She shares that what she loves most about working for COHC is the sense of family and support, knowing that whether she has a personal or work concern, the team is always there to listen and help. She also appreciates COHC’s flexibility and the way the company provides In-Services that help caregivers continue to grow in their skills and knowledge. Her patience and life experience allow her to connect deeply with our clients, noticing the little things that make a big difference in their day. She’s the kind of caregiver who brings both heart and skill to every interaction.

Outside of work, Candise enjoys spending time with her family and friends, doing baking, cooking, camping, and gardening with her kids, and she’s even learning to play Mario Kart (though she still loves a classic game of Go Fish!). Candise’s reliability, kindness, and thoughtful approach truly enrich the lives of those she serves.

Congratulations, Candise, and thank you for all that you do!

Joke of the Month

A married couple were walking through a garden

when suddenly a dog ran towards them.

They both knew it will bite them..

The husband lifted his wife to let the dog bite him rather than his sweetheart.

The dog stopped before them, unsure what to do, barked a little and ran away.

The husband put his wife down, expecting a hug and a few kind words of gratitude from her.

But his wife shouted, “I've seen people throwing stones & sticks at dogs, this is the first time I see someone trying to throw his wife at a dog

Moral : No one else can misunderstand a Husband better than a Wife
