Tips for Grads: Explore available campus resources online |
Welcome back to school, Badgers! For those of you new to UW–Madison, we hope you have had time to review the Resource Fair for Online Students. It’s a great way to explore campus resources available to online graduate students. For new and returning students, here are some highlights and reminders of the support available to you.
Dean of Students Office: This office assists students with many difficulties they may be experiencing, including academic, financial, and family emergencies. They are a good go-to resource when you’re not sure what campus office may be best suited to help your situation.
The Writing Center: The center works with students at all stages of their writing process. Online students can take advantage of the center’s individual meetings, writing workshops, and online Writer’s Handbook. Take that, writer’s block!
Software Training for Students: New classes may mean new software to learn. This resource offers free technology training for students and instructors. Everything from online courses to scheduling a one-on-one virtual meeting with a trainer is available.

Professional and Career Development: Communication support for students with disabilities |
Wellness Tips: Sit back and listen |
Listening to a good tune can be a great way to unwind after a day of work or school. The Mead Witter School of Music’s YouTube account has videos of concerts, music festivals, and instrument exercises performed by the school of music’s ensembles and instructors. Hit play, sit back, and relax to everything from Afro-Cuban jazz to “On, Wisconsin!” on the double bass.

No, Bailey doesn’t have a question for you – he always just has one ear sticking straight up. If you can get his attention with a great dance move, he might just pop his other ear up. Bailey belongs to Jackie Nevarez, Project Coordinator for Professional Degrees & Certificates.
