Dear Colleagues,
I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Ronald Gulotta as the Interim Dean for the College of General Studies and Dean Kowalski as Interim Associate Dean, effective July 1, 2024.
Ron earned his BA at Marquette University, MSW at UW-Milwaukee, and PhD from Loyola University of Chicago. He was about to retire after 23 years teaching Sociology and Criminal Justice at UW-Milwaukee at Waukesha but has agreed to postpone his retirement to guide the College of General Studies during its final year.
Dean earned his bachelor's degree from Ripon College and his MA and PhD from UW-Madison. He came to UW-Milwaukee at Waukesha in 2003 and has served as Professor of Philosophy and Chair of the Arts and Humanities Department.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Simon Bronner and express my appreciation for his service and leadership as Dean of the College of General Studies for the past five years. From July 1 to August 18, Simon will serve as an Internal Consultant to continue work on several projects before returning to the faculty.
