As we move into October and the rhythm of the semester settles in, we want to remind you to pause and check in with yourself. Academic life can be demanding, but your well-being is just as important. Don't hesitate to reach out to Counseling Services, UWill, visit the Wellness Room in the library, or check out all the CAPS Workshops.

- Start building your network early. Make time to connect with faculty, staff, and your peers. We want to help you; don't hesitate to reach out to someone when you need help.
-
Remember to think beyond grades. Yes, your GPA is very important; however, so are the experiences you have by getting involved with clubs, organizations, and campus resources.
- College is not just a place to get answers; it's where you learn to ask more and better questions.

The Center for Academic Success (CAS) strengthened its services to Undecided students through the Idea Hall initiative, successfully implementing the Major Exploration Fair and Major Declaration Celebration, which drew over 400 students in attendance between the two events. This initiative increased retention of Undecided first-year students to 88%, assisting 50% of those students in successfully declaring a degree plan by the end of their first year.
|
"{My professor} is a very good professor to have. She is always very welcoming, soft-spoken, respectful, and is all hands-on when it comes to teaching us about what college is really like and how to get through it successfully."
|
45 students were enrolled in unique sections of University Life tailored to Undecided students.
|
- 100% of the students indicated that the course helped them connect with faculty, administrators, and students on campus.
|
Students shared the following about what they learned at the Major Exploration Fair:
|
- "I learned more about the overall business fields that I could major in and expanded my search for a major."
- "More insight as to what other majors I could try picking up and what kind of skills are taught, or the workload that is engaged in."
-
"I learned what it looks like to be a double major at Seton Hall, what to expect as far as course-load and schedule, and the pros of taking English on as a second major."
|
Students - In the spring, we announced that a new franchise will be coming to Seton Hall in the fall of 2026! This franchise will be located in the University Center, first floor (next to Pirate Express), and was selected based on student feedback, space, and budget.
|
-
We thank the more than 1,500 students who participated in a survey to determine the franchise!
- On October 17 at noon, Student Services will host a Food Truck Event to announce the new franchise. Join us to find out ---- will it be Auntie Anne's, Smoothie King, or Tropical Smoothie Café?
