Program Area Updates
FITNESS AND WELLNESS - "Sneak Peak Week" runs Mon, Aug 20 - Fri, Aug 24. Join us for a special line-up of FREE group exercise classes!
- "Try It Before You Buy It" runs from Mon, Aug 27 - Fri, Aug 31. Try out any of the 50+ group exercise classes for FREE during the 1st week of classes!
- The Fall 2018 Group Exercise schedule will be available by mid-August. Check the website for updates, class descriptions, and how to purchase your pass.
OUTDOOR ADVENTURES - The Climbing Center replaces Partner Climb times with Open Climb starting Fall semester. Staff will now belay for participants as needed during entire open hours.
- Beginning this Fall, the Bike Shop will be located at the Ravines Center!
INTRAMURAL SPORTS - Hiring Sports Officials! Visit our website and complete the Employment Application.
- The first 3 IM Sports offered this Fall are sand volleyball, softball, and soccer! Check out our calendar for registration deadlines and start dates.
- All Intramural Sports participants will need to purchase an IM Sports pass to play. Visit our website for more info about pass options.
CLUB SPORTS - Rowing Club Trains and Competes in Europe
- Bass Anglers Club competed at the CarHartt Bassmaster College Series National Championships in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. They took 7th place out of 117 teams.
- Rifle Club competed at the National Smallbore Rifle Position Championships in Bristol, Indiana. They finished Top 15 among the best shooters in the country.

Live Eat RecFest- Sunday, August 26 from 2-6pm
- Join us by kicking off the school year with an open house party at the Rec Center! Partnering with On-Campus Housing and Campus Dining, this event will feature music, food, games, vendors, Club Sports, and giveaways!
- FREE with GVSU ID. No registration required.

Family Weekend 5K - Saturday, September 22 at 9am
- Open to all students, faculty, staff, and community members. Partnering with a variety of student clubs and organizations, this event provides the opportunity to support participating student organizations.
- Includes medals for race winners, refreshments, music, and giveaways!
- Register by Sept 7 to get a T-shirt!

Homecoming Tailgate- Saturday, October 6 from 4-7pm
- Connect with employees, alumni, friends, and family from Campus Rec or Athletic & Rec Facilities at this annual event! Taking place at the GVSU Practice Football Field, close to all Homecoming festivities!
