Dr. Sarah Fortner named director of sustainability at Carleton
Fortner's newly created role is part of an expansion of the college’s sustainability efforts. Fortner has a 20-year history conducting climate and environmental justice research, supporting education, and building community for change. Read more about Dr. Fortner and her new role.

Lofgren Fellows Named
Congratulations to Sana Rafiq '13 and Ben Lurie '09, this year's recipients of the Lofgren Alumni Business Fellowship. Established in 1984 by Charles Lofgren, Sr. '27, the award supports alumni with established commitments to a career in business through educational opportunities.

Faculty Farewells
Jackson Bryce, age 78, died on December 12. Jack was hired in 1972 to teach classics and retired in 2012 as the Marjorie Crabb Garbisch Professor of Classical Languages and the Liberal Arts, Emeritus. Learn more and share a remembrance for Jackson.
Charles (Chuck) Carlin, age 85, died on January 2. Chuck taught chemistry for 38 years, retiring in 2004 as the Charles “Jim” & Marjorie Kade Professor of the Sciences, Emeritus. Learn more and share a remembrance for Chuck.
