Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II
President and Senior Lecturer of Repairers of the Breach
Barber is a pastor and social justice advocate whose work focuses on building coalitions as part of a moral movement for racial and economic justice. He is pastor of Greenleaf Christian Church in Goldsboro, North Carolina and past president of the North Carolina conference of the NAACP. He founded Repairers of the Breach, a national leadership development organization, and launched a revival of the 1968 Poor People's Campaign that was originally spearheaded by Dr. King and many others. Learn more.
Sherrilyn Ifill
President and Director-Counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc.
Ifill leads the nation's premier civil rights legal organization, which was founded in 1940 by Thurgood Marshall, and she is a leading voice in the struggle for racial justice and equality. A professor and critically acclaimed author, her scholarly articles and her book On the Courthouse Lawn: Confronting the Legacy of Lynching in the 21st Century, reflect her lifelong engagement in and analysis of issues of race and American public life.
