Are you interested in conducting research while at UCSD? Find out how to get involved! Learn helpful tips and resources to finding the position that is right for you. 2019 Undergraduate Summer Research Scholarships

Interested in conducting research or perhaps getting a research internship for the SUMMER? Learn about requirements, application process, and incentives when doing research in the summer. Get tips on how to submit a competitive application. Applications will open in November, but first step is to attend this session and find an appropriate lab. Get Published in the Saltman Quarterly, UCSD's premier undergraduate biology research journal! Your work will be featured in an award-winning
peer-reviewed journal, and you will gain invaluable experience in writing and editing a professional research manuscript or paper. Submission categories include Original Research Manuscript, Scientific Review Paper, and Master's Brevias. Submission guidelines can be found on the SQ website.

Apply to the McNair Program!

The UCSD McNair Program helps low-income, first-generation college students prepare for doctoral study. Students will conduct research under the guidance of a faculty member and receive money for summer research. The McNair Program is part of the UCSD Academic Enrichment Programs.

NEW WI19 Opportunity: Medical School Prep 101 - 1 unit

Applications Due: November 18th
Attention 1st and 2nd Year students, HealthBeat is offering a a new Winter 2019 FMPH 198 course called Medical School Prep 101.
This course is designed for freshmen or sophomores who are interested in pursuing medicine and becoming physicians. Learn what it takes to prepare for medical school as well as what it takes to be a competitive applicant. We’ll cover everything from academic requirements, timeline and MCAT to obtaining relevant experiences (i.e. healthcare, service, leadership, and research), letters of evaluation, the 15 core competencies and more!

Service Learning Abroad - South Africa Program

One Heart Source is currently accepting applications for our 2019 Service Learning Programs. We are offering 2 and 4 week Health Development programs in Cape Town, South Africa!
Gain a deeper understanding of community and the cultural factors that influence health. Mentor students who strive to become healthcare professionals and cultivate lifelong relationships.
