UT has joined a three-year effort to develop inclusive faculty recruitment, hiring, and retention practices. The Association of Public and Land-grant Universities co-leads the project, known as Aspire: The National Alliance for Inclusive and Diverse STEM Faculty.

Call for Applications: RDA Academy

UT’s Research Development Academy (RDA) is a new program launched by the Office of Equity and Diversity and the Office of Research and Engagement that empowers faculty to advance their research, scholarship, and creative activities, while providing unique resources and a safe environment to network.

More than 230 faculty, staff, students, and community partners attended UT’s Community Engagement and Outreach conference Tuesday to discuss community partnerships around topics such as health, housing, homelessness, substance abuse, and education.

Three unique agricultural publications from UT Extension and the Agricultural Experiment Station have been preserved as digital collections by the University of Tennessee Libraries. These vintage publications were created between 1922 and 1990.

Attend Training for Research Evaluation Tool

The University of Tennessee has scheduled four training sessions for InCites, an online research analytics and evaluation tool. InCites is a research evaluation platform that allows for in-depth analysis of trends and citation patterns of the publication activity data.

Call for Proposals: SURGE Program

The new Summer Undergraduate Research Group Experience (SURGE) Program will provide internal research awards of up to $55,720 each for 8 faculty-led undergraduate research teams starting in summer 2020. The deadline for project proposal submissions is November 15, 2019.

Call for Proposals: SMART Program

The ORNL SMART program is soliciting interested faculty who have research programs that intersect with ORNL researchers or research areas as well as undergraduates interested in participating on related research projects. Additionally, 6 graduate students will be funded to serve as undergraduate research mentors and will be paired with the students and faculty.
