We are rain or shine every Saturday 9a-1p & Sunday 10a-2p!
Our markets are OPEN regular hours this weekend and we are so excited to ring in the new year with you! Shopping at the Farmers' Market is a great way to start your year on the right foot: You are supporting a sustainable food system, helping the environment since your food doesn't have to travel far, and getting the freshest local, seasonal produce! Winter produce in Texas consists of lots of crisp, crunchy cruciferous veggies like broccoli, cabbage, kale, bok choy, and pictured above, the incredible romanesco!
Did you know that the fractal pattern in romanesco is a naturally occurring fibonacci sequence? Staring at its bright green spirals is endlessly fascinating and always gives us a renewed sense of wonder and appreciation for nature. Discover something wonderful this weekend at the markets! We hope you'll join us to visit beloved vendors and stock up on a variety of local veggies, humanely-raised meats, artisan prepared foods, Gulf seafood, fresh cheese and more.

MASKS NOW REQUIRED AT TFM AT MUELLER

TFM is closely following Austin Public Health Guidelines, and due to our permit at TFM at Mueller, all staff, vendors, and visitors are required to wear masks throughout the market (inside and outside) until further notice, regardless of vaccination status. In addition we are strongly encouraging shoppers, vendors, and staff to wear masks at TFM at Lakeline.
We ask that you please respect and follow this guideline to help our community slow the spread of this new surge of COVID-19 in the Austin area. Visit our website for tips on planning a quick and efficient shopping trip.

CALLING ALL LOCAL MUSICIANS!

We're booking artists to play at our Lakeline Market in the new year! We feature live music every Saturday from 9am-1pm. Artists are allowed to take breaks and are compensated.
We'd love to hear from all types of local musicians to showcase the incredible variety of talent here in Austin! Just keep in mind that our markets are rain or shine (we have a tent for bands), and family friendly. This is a great opportunity to get in front of tons of market shoppers in a lively outdoor atmosphere.
Interested? Email us at community@texasfarmersmarket.org and include some links to your music for us to listen to!

The protein in this recipe is Orale's delicious black eyed pea tempeh, so you can get a little bit of luck for the new year! Throw in some collard greens too for good measure. Learn how to make it at the link below, and pick up ingredients at the market from vendors including Orale, Hi-Fi Mycology, Bernhardt's Farm, Growtopia Farms, and Emadi Acres Farm.
