New Funding Term Option for the Workforce Housing Development Program
As a result of legislative changes this past session, Minnesota Housing is able to offer additional funding terms to better meet the needs of Greater Minnesota communities who want to expand workforce housing. We have added a deferred loan option available to eligible applicants applying to the Workforce Housing Development Program.
Two Funding Options: Grant or Deferred Loan Funds
Applicants can request either grant funds or an interest-free, forgivable, deferred loan. Indicate at the time of application which form of funding you are requesting. See the updated FAQs for more information about the two funding options.
Updates to the Program Guide, Application and FAQs
Minnesota Housing has updated Chapters 3 and 4 of the Workforce Housing Development Program Guide, as well as other terms and definitions throughout the guide to reflect the deferred loan funding option. Additional updates have also been made to the FAQs based on questions we’ve received and to the application materials to reflect program changes.
For application materials and more information, visit our website. Note: Use the application materials dated 12.04.17 when applying for funds.
Application Due Date
Applications are due by 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2018.
