Welcome back, Graduate School Students,
As we kick off the new semester at Vanderbilt, I am excited to see you back on campus, ready to dive into fresh experiences and challenges. August is the perfect time to revisit one of our core values at Vanderbilt, Freedom of Expression, which empowers us to cultivate a thriving academic community.
Vanderbilt’s commitment to free expression lies at the heart of our mission, ensuring an educational environment where you can explore and articulate your ideas confidently.
Guided by three pillars: open forums, institutional neutrality, and civil discourse, we ensure that our campus remains a vibrant environment for free expression. I encourage you to revisit the full freedom of expression policy in the student handbook.
As always, the Graduate School is here to support you as you continue to grow and develop.
Here is to a fantastic semester ahead. Anchor Down!
Best,
