Thurs June 22, 8 p.m.
Tanglewood opens for the season tonight with Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me!, with special guest, Berkshire's very own Karen Allen. NPR’s oddly informative news quiz is now in its 25th year. On Friday, the Steve Miller Band takes the stage, with special guests Bruce Hornsby & the Noisemakers. Then, next Wednesday, the Emerson String Quartet and Emanuel Ax will perform. The Devil's in the Tales

Sat June 24, 6 p.m.
Aston Magna Music Festival presents the first concert of its 50th season, "The Devil’s In the Tales." The revival of the partnering of two morality tales—Alessandro Scarlatti’s Humanitá e Lucifero and Stravinsky’s L’Histoire du Soldat—will be performed at Saint James Place in Great Barrington. More info

A Clan Celebration

Descendants of the Guthrie clan, who trace their roots to the 15th century Guthrie Castle in Scotland, will gather at the Guthrie Center in Great Barrington to celebrate their heritage. Block Party

Downtown Pittsfield is looking to add a new series of events to the summer cultural mix. On Saturday, they’ll be kicking off the first of three Block Parties, featuring a mix of live music (including Glori Wilder, pictured here) and theatrical performances, beer gardens, food vendors, and more. The first Block Party will be on School Street, right outside of Hot Plate Brewing Co. More info

Sing for Your

Slumber

Sun June 25, 8 p.m.
This Sunday kicks off the summer 2023 Sing for Your Slumber season at Tourists hotel in North Adams, and it's sounding pretty sweet. First up is Brooklyn-based Bird Streets. All shows are free entry with artist donations accepted and encouraged. Shows start at 8 p.m., and seating is first-come, first-served. The music will happen in the Lodge or on the deck under the stars, with snacks served until 9 p.m. and drinks until late. More info
