Children’s Minnesota Campus and Care Design Update
Children’s Minnesota is currently in the midst of a redesign initiative that will improve patient care and streamline services to create a more user-friendly experience for patients and clinical partners. Working as one Children’s Minnesota, every patient will continue to have access to the full range of specialty services.
We know that families with medically complex children often need access to multiple specialty services and currently must navigate between both of our hospital campuses to receive care. Having aligned specialized experts under one roof will streamline our services and improve the care we are able to provide to our patients.
Ear Shape Program
At Children’s Minnesota, we’re The Kid Experts in ENT and facial plastic surgery. Our pediatric-focused multidisciplinary team collaborates to evaluate ear issues. We evaluate ear issues, providing seamless care and coordinated visits to thoroughly address all concerns. Our Ear Shape Program has the expertise you need to evaluate and treat all ear issues — both cosmetic and functional — under one roof.

One family’s experience in the NICU at The Mother Baby Center at Mercy
At only 33 weeks pregnant, Danielle was rushed to The Mother Baby Center at Mercy Hospital and was diagnosed with placental abruption and preeclampsia. That day, she gave birth to Freya.

We’ve expanded our neonatal services, creating a Level III NICU at The Mother Baby Center at Mercy Hospital which means high-risk moms like Danielle deliver closer to home. Watch the video now!

One of the greatest joys of pediatrics is being present to welcome a new baby into the world. And some of the most harrowing moments many pediatric clinicians experience is when something goes wrong in those earliest moments of a baby’s life. Join this conversation with Dr. Tara Zamora, medical director of Children’s Minnesota NICU in Minneapolis, as we discuss what can be done when newborns are in distress, and when and how to transfer unstable newborns to the NICU when needed.
