Highlights from Coffee and Clean-Up |
The chemistry community SHOWED UP at our first event of the semester, Coffee and Clean-Up! Thank you to everyone who participated to help us clean up Centennial Park. We managed to throw out over 5 bags worth of trash in just an hour! Two dozen volunteers joined us for a morning of coffee, community, and care for our environment.
Be on the lookout for more local and community events—we can't wait to see you soon!

Join us for a writing retreat on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM in Stevenson Center 5502. This retreat is designed to provide a focused environment for students working on a range of academic writing projects, including abstracts, NSF GRFP proposals, NIH F31 applications, dissertations, rotation reports, or qualifying and preliminary exams. Whether you're looking for a quiet space to make progress or hoping to receive feedback on a current draft, this retreat can support your writing goals. The retreat will feature brief talks from previous grant awardees and honorable mentions, who will share their experiences and offer advice on strengthening your final drafts. Students interested in peer review are encouraged to bring a complete draft of their current work and will be paired for on-site editing and feedback. Coffee and snacks will be provided! We hope to see you there!
Please RSVP by Friday, September 19th: https://forms.office.com/r/SWjGYf8akv

Gordon Research Conferences & Seminars
|
Gordon Research Conferences (GRC) bring a global network of scientists together. With highly-specialized themes and a limit of 200 attendees each, these conferences emphasize discussion and informal networking opportunities. Gordon Research Seminars (GRS) were created to enable graduate students and postdocs to share in the GRC experience. Seminars are held in conjunction with a related GRC and begin the weekend immediately prior to the GRC.
