The June 2016 Investor Update has recently been released by the Comptroller's Office.  Once again, monthly revenues were higher than budgeted expectations.  The month of June ended with a net positive growth of 6.16% and overall June revenues were $1.3 billion - $112.8 million more than the state budgeted.  Click here to read the report.

The Department of Homeland Security is offering two opportunities to participate in a webinar covering the Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) Grant Program.  Congress has appropriated $10 million specifically to support local counter violent extremism efforts.  The webinars are available to assist entities in understanding the grant program's goals, core elements, review process, and timeline.  The webinar will occur on two separate dates: Wednesday, July 20 from 2 - 3pm (EST) and Monday, July 25, 2 - 3pm (EST).  To register for the July 20th webinar, click here.  To register for the July 25th webinar, click here.  For more information about the CVE Grant Program, click here.  
The Tennessee Department of Economic & Community Development, in partnership with Grant Writing USA, is presenting two grant training opportunities.  The first is a grant writing workshop, September 8-9.  This workshop will cover how to write grant proposals start to finish and how to locate and track relevant grant opportunities.  The second, on November 14-15, will be a two-day grant management workshop where key concepts associated with managing grant awards and audit requirements will be highlighted.  For information about the September class, click here.  For information regarding the November class, click here.
