Make Your Voice Heard at the Presidential Search Meetings

Just like calling your senators and representatives about legislation, sharing your concerns with the search committee will influence university-wide priorities and policies over the next decade. The Office of Sustainability encourages you to attend the Presidential Search Community Meetings and show support for sustainability, social justice, and other issues that you think must be made a priority at Tufts.

Southern Barbecue Dinner at Dewick

On Thursday, April 28, join us for Southern Barbecue Dinner at Dewick-MacPhie. We'll have Carolina Mustard Roasted Pork Loin, Barbecued Beef Brisket, Creole Shrimp, Sweet Potato and Pork Sausage Hash, Chipotle Macaroni and Cheese, Jalapeño Grits, Peach and Raspberry Cobbler, Shoo-fly Pie, and Vanilla Ice Cream.

Confronting the Climate Crisis: Global Solutions, Local Action with Senator Ed Markey and Gina McCarthy

On Friday, April 29, at 1 p.m., join U.S. Senator Ed Markey, White House National Climate Advisor Gina McCarthy, AG81, President Monaco, Dean Kyte, and environmental experts from organizations like Sunrise Movement, Mass Renews Alliance, Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, and more for a special in-person multi-event program open to all! There will be a public lecture at 1–2 p.m., followed by back-to-back breakout sessions at 2–3 p.m. focusing on clean energy job creation and climate action and organizing.

Spring Fling Weekend

TUSC Spring Fling Weekend is hosted the last weekend of the spring semester each year, and it includes an outdoor movie, the Tuftonia's Day Carnival, and a number of other events hosted by various campus partners. The culminating event of the weekend is the Spring Fling Concert, a 6,000-person outdoor show, and will feature Ella Jane, Dayglow, Bia, and Aminé. Visit springfling.tufts.edu to learn more about each event and harm reduction strategies for the weekend ahead.

Academic Reminders

Registration for Fall 2022 Courses is Taking Place Now!
Registration is open for Engineers, BFA and Combined-Degree students, and rising LA seniors. Rising LA juniors register on April 25, and rising LA sophomores register on April 26. For help with registration, visit the Registrar's web page or stop by Liberal Arts drop-in advising.
If you need advice or support as you wrap up your courses this semester, don’t hesitate to reach out to your advising team or take advantage of the resources offered through the Student Accessibility and Academic Resources (StAAR) Center and Counseling and Mental Health Service (CMHS). We are here to support you and help you have a successful semester!

Spring Fling Weekend Parking Advisories and Road Closures

Tuftonia’s Day and Spring Fling are happening Thursday, April 28–Saturday, April 30.There will be parking restrictions and road closures to accommodate these events. There will be increased signage at all impacted areas identifying restrictions and closures.

Summer Housing

On-campus housing is available this summer to students who are:
  1. Taking in-person classes at Tufts, performing research, or engaging in other approved academic activities this summer
  2. Students who are working at an internship or job in the Boston area this summer
Students who don't meet that criteria might consider subletting in the area. Residential Life provides a Canvas site to connect Tufts students who are looking to sublease their room or apartment with students who are looking for a place to stay over the summer. More information about subleasing is available from Residential Life's off-campus information page and off-campus housing listings website.

Summer Meal Plans

Any student is welcome to sign up for a summer meal plan, whether they are living on or off campus this summer.
