This Week's News and Announcements

Academics: Getting Started

There are many different fields of study at Tufts in the School of Arts and Sciences, School of Engineering, and at the School for the Museum of Fine Arts (SMFA). What's the best way to get your bearings?
We're glad you asked! We've created an Academics page just for incoming students to help you with your first steps:

Academic Advice and Support
Now that you're a Jumbo, you have a bunch of people and departments that are ready to help you make progress towards your degree. Here are the "123's" of Academic Advice and Support at Tufts.
All Jumbos have a team of advisors, including a special team for BFA students on the Fenway campus:
BA, BS, and Combined Degree students will meet with an assigned Pre-Major Advisor during Orientation; they'll help you register for courses. BFA students will meet with a member of the SMFA Advising team. Student Success Advisors are another great resource on the Medford campus and can help BA, BS, and Combined Degree students explore majors and navigate University resources.
First- and second-year students have a special office to help get their college careers started. With a particular focus on underrepresented student groups, OSSA provides programming and connects students with co-curricular resources:
