I am delighted to celebrate the 74 graduate students who are taking part in the Write On! Program. The program provides dedicated writing time, structured support, and a community of peers who are committed to advancing their academic and professional writing goals. Write On! supports students’ development as researchers, writers, and leaders in their respective fields.
As a reminder, registration for the Career Colloquium is now open. This weeklong series offers panels, workshops, and networking opportunities designed to help you explore diverse career paths and strengthen the skills that will support your success beyond Vanderbilt. I encourage you all to register and take advantage of these valuable sessions.

Midweek Mixer The Graduate School's new monthly event, Midweek Mixer, replaces the Friday Fuel events, offering graduate students a chance to connect, converse, and enjoy a treat! Save the date for the following events:
- Movie Night in Sarratt Cinema: Wednesday, October 29, from 5 - 7 p.m.

The GRFP supports students pursuing full-time research-based master's and doctoral degrees in STEM fields, offering three years of financial support totaling an annual stipend of $37,000. Application deadlines are in mid-November.
The seminar will cover the application process, competitive strategies, and available resources at Vanderbilt, ending with a panel of current GRFP fellows. Pizza will be provided.
Eligibility requires applicants to be U.S. citizens, nationals, or permanent residents. Students are encouraged to review the grant guidelines to confirm eligibility. More information can be found on the NSF GRFP home page. For questions, contact Kaitlyn Mehlhouse, Program Manager.

- Departmental Presentations: Schedule a presentation by Dr. Keeton
- Workshops and Programs: Dr. Keeton offers career preparation workshops and professional development programs focused on resumes, networking, public speaking, and job search strategies.
- Drop-In Sessions: Dr. Keeton will hold weekly drop-in hours: virtual on Mondays from 10 - 11 a.m. and in-person on Wednesdays from 2 - 3 p.m. in Alumni Hall Lounge (100). Check Handshake for Zoom links and updates.

Join BRET on Thursday, October 16 at 11 a.m., in Light Hall 202 for ASPIRE Resume Masterclass Live for an interactive session to enhance your resume and career readiness. Vanderbilt alumni Lori Rudolph Owen, PhD, and JJ Owen, PhD, will provide live feedback on four selected resumes, sharing insights on what employers look for and how to tailor your resume effectively. Even if your resume isn’t reviewed, you’ll gain valuable strategies for showcasing your skills.
