Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer and President Philomena V. Mantella recently announced an accelerated program that will help adults complete their bachelor’s degrees and enhance the state’s productivity. The online degree program helps working adults break down barriers to their career success, while providing them with a certificate in one of four high-demand specialties.

The GVSU men's swimming & diving team won their sixth consecutive GLIAC Championship title on February 22. In addition to finishing well ahead of second place Wayne State, the team also claimed a number of individual titles.

Mathias J. Alten (1871-1938) is one of the most celebrated regionalist artists to have worked in the United States. Based in Grand Rapids, MI, Alten created more than 3,800 works of art during his prolific career including landscapes, seascapes, portraits, florals, and still-lifes. Alten's work may be viewed at the Richard M. DeVos Center on GVSU's Robert C. Pew Grand Rapids Campus or online.

GVSU Alumni Art Tour - Detroit Institute of Arts
Enjoy one of two guided tours of the Detroit Institute of Arts, home to one of the largest and most significant art collections in the United States. Tours are May 16 and 17 with one including roundtrip transportation from Grand Rapids and the other including brunch in Greektown.
