One of the greatest advantages of being part of a university community is the opportunity to explore new ideas, experiences, and perspectives. Whether it’s through a conversation with a professor, attending a campus event, or connecting with peers, each experience adds to your journey. We encourage you to remain open to these opportunities and make the most of your time here.

Pirate Tip of the Week: Mid-Semester Check-In ✅
|
This is a great point in the semester to pause and take a quick check-in with yourself. Ask: What’s working well in my routine, and what could I adjust to finish the semester strong?
|
-
Review upcoming assignments, exams, and deadlines for the next few weeks
- Check your grades or feedback and identify where you may need support
- Set 1–2 small goals for the rest of the week to stay on track
|
Taking a few minutes to reflect and reset can help you stay focused, reduce stress, and keep momentum as the semester continues.

“I have been going to the university center commuter room for two semesters now, and I love the coffee and snacks that are provided. Being able to go in the room and be welcomed so warmly by Ghana and the staff are a highlight of my day. As a commuter it’s often hard to find time between getting to campus on time and finding something to eat and knowing I can come in grab a bite and continue my day has been a big help especially this semester.” — Commuter Student

Campus participants have found NCBI training courses overwhelmingly helpful, leading to requests for specific training in departments and areas on campus, such as Residence Life and SHMS.
