RESOURCES FOR RURAL AREAS |
|
|
| What innovations are helping bridge the rural health gap?
|
UTA's Center for Rural Health and Nursing is actively working to advance rural healthcare training by equipping nursing students and professionals with the skills, technologies, and experiences needed to serve underserved communities more effectively. A range of strategic initiatives are actively advancing rural healthcare while simultaneously providing essential training, such as:
Igloo Immersion Room
-
Provides a 360-degree immersive simulation environment that allows UTA nursing students—especially those training for rural practice—to experience realistic clinical scenarios in a controlled, supportive setting.
-
Prepares students for the unique challenges of rural healthcare through customizable simulations focused on limited-resource environments, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Enhances clinical readiness and confidence for students and practicing nurses, bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world rural healthcare delivery.
