Biology BS/MS Program

The Division of Biological Sciences offers a contiguous program leading to a Master of Science in Biology for current UCSD undergraduate students who are enrolled in any of the Biology majors.  For more information, come to the session and see information for BS/MS students.

Instructional Assistant Opportunities

Thursday, October 18
3:30-4:30PM | Pacific Hall Rm. 3500 (3rd flr.)
This session describes the ways students may gain practical teaching experience, as an Instructional Apprentice, under the mentorship of a Biology course instructor.  An overview of the application process, a faculty member’s viewpoint on the experience, and a student’s perspective on participation will be shared. Open to students interested in practical teaching experience at the collegiate level. For more information on how to apply and deadlines for IA positions, visit the UGIA.

Submission Deadline: Friday, January 25th

Get Published in the Saltman Quarterly, UCSD's premier undergraduate biology research journal! Your work will be featured in an award-winning
peer-reviewed journal, and you will gain invaluable experience in writing and editing a professional research manuscript or paper. Submission categories include Original Research Manuscript, Scientific Review Paper, and Master's Brevias. Submission guidelines can be found on the SQ website.

Applications Due: Wednesday, October 24th
The UCSD McNair Program helps low-income, first-generation college students prepare for doctoral study. Students will conduct research under the guidance of a faculty member and receive money for summer research. The McNair Program is part of the UCSD Academic Enrichment Programs.
