| August is National Wellness Month!
National Wellness Month is a time to celebrate the habits and connections that support our health, resilience, and well-being. In medicine, caring for ourselves is an essential part of caring for our patients, our colleagues, and our communities. Throughout this month, we invite you to explore wellness resources and practical strategies, such as prioritizing quality sleep, engaging in regular physical activity, practicing mindfulness, nurturing meaningful social connections, and taking brief moments to recharge during the workday. We hope that you will take opportunities to prioritize your own well-being through small daily habits and meaningful moments of connection not just this month but throughout the year!
Be sure to visit the DOM Wellness webpages to learn more about wellness and explore resources and activities.
Rakhee Bhayani, MD
Vice Chair for Wellness and Engagement
