Students, faculty, and staff joined officials from the National Security Agency (NSA) last week to celebrate Georgia Tech winning the NSA Codebreaker Challenge for the second year in a row.

Imagine a scenario. A young child asks a chatbot or a voice assistant if Santa Claus is real. How should the AI respond, given that some families would prefer a lie over the truth? Two student researchers have designed a simulation to investigate how intentional robot deception affects trust.
