EARTH DAY OTR

Keep Cincinnati Beautiful in partnership with 3CDC will be offering a fun-filled day of eco-friendly activities and vendors. The event will feature live reggae- themed music, food and drink, eco-friendly products & goods for purchase and a range of activities for both children and adults. Great Parks of Hamilton County will be bringing free activities; a bounce house, putt-putt, and birds of prey!

Washington Park | Saturday, April 20th from 12pm-5pm.

ONE STOP DROP @ EARTH DAY OTR

Do something good for the earth by bringing your hard-to-recycle items with you for the One Stop Drop Recycling Drive. Cincinnati residents can properly dispose of non-curbside and hard to recycle items.  You don't even need to park your car!

40TH ANNIVERSARY MURAL

"HAPPY HOUR"

Join the Arts Program and Young Professional committee for a painting “Happy Hour” to help with KCB's 40th-anniversary mural, Cincinnati is Beautiful, on a blighted wall along Martin Luther King Drive! Local brews and snacks provided afterward at the KCB garage!

When: Thursday, May 23rd, from 5-8pm

Where: Meet at the KCB office (1115 Bates Ave., 45225) and we will walk up to the mural site.

* Please wear paint clothes and sturdy shoes!

ADOPT A SPOT

KCB is reintroducing the Adopt-A-Spot program with help from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency! 

Adopt-A-Spot encourages you to improve your neighborhood by cleaning littered curbs, sidewalks, and vacant lots; cutting grass and high weeds; planting flowers; removing signs from utility poles; reporting graffiti; and other activities.

Take part in this exciting and innovative program by "adopting" a portion of your neighborhood.  From business districts to your own block, beautification and maintenance of your own "spot" will benefit your community in more ways than one! Adopt-A-Spot today!

GREENSPACE GRANT AWARD:

The Greenspace program received a $20,000 award from the PNC John A. Schroth Family Charitable Trust.  Thanks to their gift we will be able to continue to transform vacant lots into community assets through the award-winning Vacant Lots: Occupied project!

GREAT AMERICAN CLEAN-UP SPONSORSHIP:

Thanks to our friends and long-time supporters at United Dairy Farmers for a $15,000 sponsorship of the Great American Cleanup. With their help, we’re able to provide essential cleanup supplies for community cleanups.

ONE TON ONE YEAR:

The One Ton, One Year project is a Keep Cincinnati Beautiful sustainability initiative to divert one ton of organic waste from the landfill in one year. The Hamilton County Recycling and Solid Waste District has provided $2,275 for the project! Thanks to their support all of our events will be zero waste in 2020.
