"Genticorum, An Evening of Québécois Music" will be at Dewey Hall in Sheffield. With multiple Canadian Folk Music Awards, Genticorum is a leading voice in the evolution of Québécois traditional music. The group's three musicians—Pascal Gemme, Yann Falquet, and Nicholas Williams—will weave intricate fiddle, flute, and accordion lines, gorgeous vocal harmonies, subtle guitar textures, and exhilarating foot percussion in this performance. F for Fake

Trickery. Deceit. Magic. In F for Fake (1975, 88 minutes), a free-form documentary by Orson Welles, the legendary filmmaker (and self-described charlatan) gleefully reengages with the central preoccupation of his career: the tenuous lines between illusion and truth, art and lies. Welles exposes, and revels, in fakery and fakers of all stripes—not the least of whom is Welles himself. Fall Jazz Sprawl

Fri–Sun, Nov 18–20
Downtown Pittsfield and Lenox will be sprawling with live music this weekend with the first Berkshires Jazz Fall Sprawl. Artists range from small, local groups to the 17-piece Amherst Jazz Orchestra, and the spotlight is on 16-year-old prodigy Brandon Goldberg, who is making his Berkshire debut in a sold-out show. Shine the Light

Sun Nov 20, 3 p.m. 
Berkshire International Film Festival and the Austen Riggs Center present a screening and conversation at the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center in Great Barrington on youth mental illness and suicide prevention. The community event will screen a segment from the documentary Hiding in Plain Sight, followed by the screening of a three-minute PSA produced in the Berkshires, Up on the Roof, which features Carole King.
