September Happenings & Courses for the School Year at Lila |
Blessings to you all,
Summer is drawing to a close with the elderberries ripening, the peaches falling …asking to be tended to, along with the apples, plums and the growing pumpkins… the river is a little cooler and the golden leaves are starting to cover the earth. The shifting of the season brings change, and with it, a shift in the ways in which we are in the world.
The change from summer to fall often stirs up questions inside of me. Did I allow for enough play this summer? Did I eat from the fruits and veg on my land? Am I planting a winter garden? Did I tend to my heart and home this summer and how does this prepare me for winter? Where am I in the bigger cycle of my life?
So I sit here now, integrating my summer experiences, and excited about the fall season at Lila...starting some new courses, plus my old favourites…I love it all. I am honoured to be able to share these offerings adding what I have learned and discovered. I have huge respect for what the earth can teach us if we are willing to listen. It is a joy thinking about how deep nature awareness has changed my life in the last 5 years. Blending these new learnings with voice work out in nature, in ceremony and in song together…have aligned my love of music with this new dimension of connecting deeply with nature. I am excited and committed to share all this creative and healing expression with you all.
This interweaving supports us in building a healthy "village" that we can all benefit from. A community offering ceremonies, rituals, rites of passage, shared mentorship and celebrations of song, all while witnessing each other with open hearts. This village also holds an important place for our younger generation to thrive, while also supporting and learning from our respected elders.
Lastly, some of you may have also noticed I have updated the name of my business to Lila Music and Nature Centre. This is a natural progression forged from weaving this interconnectedness of all life, past, present and future. It just feels right.
Enjoy the final blushes of summer rays, and join me in welcoming the glorious fall.
Blessings, Cari
