Hello from Andover once again -
First, thank you to everyone who has...
- Completed hiring paperwork & their pre-summer survey
- Confirmed their materials/text orders
- Started planning their courses
- Read this far in this email
Via the button below, you can access the latest and greatest version of course assignments and mentor/TA pairings. It is also posted on our faculty webpage, along with the Faculty Handbook and other resources for summer prep and planning. We apologize that we aren’t doing individual emails, but with such a large volume of information to convey, and the potential for human error, sending this single list and spreadsheet seems safest. Please review and look for your name and assignments, then email me or Jolene if anything seems incorrect! There is a TON of info, so I suggest using the "find" function. Make sure to look through all pages of the pdf. If you find a mistake (likely) or think we've forgotten one of your assignments, please email Jolene Croteau.
Additionally, we will be sending follow-up emails connecting mentors with their TAs, lead coaches with their coaching teams, lead house counselors with their dorm teams, and department faculty with their department coordinators.

Below are your Andover login credentials – these will allow you to a) log into PAnet, and then b) access your Andover email and Canvas accounts. Now that you have your assignments, lead teachers can begin to actually build course content for the summer by logging in and exploring these systems. Invitations to Academy platforms like Zoom, Padlet, and Flipgrid will also be sent to you at your Andover email address, should you want to take advantage of these. Please note that TAs, coaches, and dorm faculty are not required to build any content in Canvas.

PAnet
PAnet, Phillips Academy’s intranet, provides links to all of your pertinent information, such as campus news, academic resources, and most importantly, your My Mail link (at the top of the page). Through the My Mail link, you will gain access to your school email/inbox, OneDrive storage, and Microsoft Office applications. You will use the same username and password to access all of these options.
Important: Although we have been communicating with you thus far via your personal email address, from June 25th forward we will only use your new Andover email address for all summer communications. Please check your Andover email regularly, especially throughout the summer.

Canvas
Canvas, Phillips Academy’s Learning Management System, is the platform for all Andover Summer courses. It is accessible through PAnet, at the top of the page next to My Mail, and uses the same username and password. Upon entering Canvas, you will see a tile with the name of the course(s) which you are teaching. By clicking on your course, you can enter and begin creating the content and resources, using the templates that we have pre-populated for you.

Later this week, you'll receive an email from Erin McCloskey, who leads our Educational Initiatives team, with invitations to access various Academy platforms like Zoom, Padlet, an others. On June 1, we plan to release our Summer Faculty Orientation course, which should be completed asynchronously before June 26. Please set aside some time (~5-7 hours) over those weeks in June to complete faculty orientation and training activities on your own! We will be setting aside time on Friday, June 25 for you to do this, as well.
As always, email with questions, or set up a time to talk!
Be well,
Beth
