Our 6-week B.E.S.T.I.E. program will teach you the principles of Intuitive Eating. Intuitive Eating is a self-care, evidence-based program grounded in 10 fundamental principles for authentic health. With over 200 research studies to date, this approach will teach you how to maintain a healthy relationship with your food, mind and body. The 6-week program consists of six sessions. About the Workforce Recruitment Program The Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP), coordinated by the U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Department of Defense, is a recruitment and referral program that connects federal and select private-sector employers with highly motivated college students, graduate students and recent graduates with disabilities who are eager to demonstrate their abilities in the workplace through internships or permanent jobs.
How to Apply: Visit WRP.gov and click “Students Register Now!” to get started!
Who Can Apply? Students and recent graduates can apply to WRP if they:
· Have a disability and are eligible under the Schedule A hiring authority
· Are a U.S. citizen or national (residents of American Samoa and Swains Island)
· Are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program on a substantially full-time basis OR have graduated with a degree on or after April 1, 2022.
New and returning WRP applicants must register and complete an application each year to continue to participate. Please use a computer or tablet to register and apply. Registration and Application Deadline Registration closes on Tuesday, October 15.

| Sign Up for Tiger Leadership Institute!
The Tiger Leadership Institute (TLI) at the University of Memphis is a student-led program aimed at equipping undergraduate students with essential leadership skills that can be applied both in and out of the classroom. This unique leadership development experience offers three distinct six-week curricula, each tailored to students at different stages of their leadership journey. Two tracks will be offered for Fall 2024: - Engage is offered to all undergraduate students and focuses heavily on the Social Change Model of Leadership, with elements of Emotional Intelligent Leadership incorporated. While the content of Engage is primarily designed to address the needs and interests of first-year and transfer students, all undergraduate students are warmly encouraged to participate. - Discover is designed for undergraduate students who are actively involved in organizations on campus and focuses heavily on Emotional Intelligent Leadership, with elements of the Social Change Model of Leadership incorporated. Whether you're already a leader within your organization or aspiring to take on a leadership role, Discover will equip you with the necessary skills to excel. Signups close on Friday, September 13, at 11:59 PM.

| Five College of Ed Students Receive First-Gen Fellowship from Graduate School
This year, the Graduate School at the University of Memphis has selected 12 students to receive the First-Generation PhD/MFA/MArch Fellowship, a financial assistance provision to graduate students who will become the first person in their immediate families to earn a doctoral degree or a Master of Fine Arts. Five of those students are from the Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology & Research (CEPR) in the College of Education (COE).
