4th COVID Relief Package

It has been nearly four months since the last COVID-19 relief package (CARES Act) was passed.
Earlier this Summer, the House passed the HEROES Act, which was their marker for what they would like to see in a 4th package. This $3T billion package has already been deemed dead on arrival in the Senate.
However, Senate Republicans have mostly agreed there is a need for an additional package, and are now beginning to have conversations of what they would like to include in it.
What we have heard in early conversations of what a Senate bill would include is additional state/municipality relief, additional money for COVID-19 testing, extensions of unemployment benefits, and liability protection against businesses and universities.
The amount we are hearing as of now is in the $1T-$1.5T range, approximately half of what the House passed. Senate Republicans have aimed for passage by the end of July, however at this stage that seems unlikely and will most likely spill into next month prior to Members leaving town for August recess.
