Michael Lavecchia (MBA’13) was known as a “kind-hearted, motivated, hard-working student and determined to succeed in the career path he had planned for himself. He loved to learn and was very proud of his achievement when he graduated,” as described by his mother, Sandra. When Michael passed away, the family decided to pay it forward to Schulich students and to honour their son by donating to the Schulich Annual Fund. This summer, Sandra and her daughter Cristina visited the campus to learn more about the impact of their donation. Thank you Sandra Lavecchia and family – our students succeed because of you. To learn how you can champion student success, please contact Ellinore Gomez, Coordinator, Donor Engagement and Stewardship at 416-736-5648 or egomez@schulich.yorku.ca.

Our new two-day, non-technical program, AI in FinTech for Company Growth, is designed to give participants a comprehensive overview of how AI in the fintech market is currently being used, and how it can be further leveraged: from personal finance and insurance, to transaction searches and visualizations, to assessing client and credit risk, insurance claims, and algorithmic trading.
