MEMPHIS, Tenn. – For students looking to get involved on campus but unsure where to start, the UofM now has a tool that can help.
TigerZone Mobile, provided by Student Leadership & Involvement, is designed to connect with and compliment the already existing web application TigerZone to connect students with a wide range of exciting opportunities across campus straight on their mobile device. This includes connecting with student organizations, finding events happening on or around campus, and creating a network of student, faculty, and staff who share similar interests.
Last year, there were over 1,900 events that took place at the University of Memphis. These events were hosted by the UofM’s 250+ student organizations as well as several campus departments and colleges. TigerZone Mobile is designed to make these experiences more accessible to the UofM community as well as connect students with other out of classroom experiences such as study abroad, volunteering, and more.
With TigerZone Mobile students can:
- Connect with students, faculty, and staff at the UofM
- Follow organizations and university departments to stay updated on news and events
- RSVP to events and add them to their calendar
- Join group chats and meet others who share their interests
- Ask questions and share their thoughts on the newsfeed
- Discover opportunities to succeed
- Set personal goals and get connected to resources
To learn more about what is happening on and around campus, students are encouraged to go online or download the app from the App Store or Google Play by searching “TigerZone Mobile.” Users will log in using their UID and Password to create their accounts.Â
Faculty and staff are encouraged to download TigerZone Mobile to promote their engagement opportunities to the UofM community. Faculty and staff can post events, internships, work-study opportunities, and other relevant engagement opportunities.
The UofM community can find more information about getting involved on campus by visiting Student Leadership and Involvement in the University Center office 211. Feedback on TigerZone Mobile is welcomed and can be sent to studentinvolvement@memphis.edu
