Eligible Homebuyer Education Courses
The mortgage insurance company MGIC released a bulletin yesterday suggesting MGIC’s online homebuyer education course meets first-time homebuyer education requirements. MGIC’s course, however, does not meet Minnesota Housing’s homebuyer education requirement. Only the following courses are approved by Minnesota Housing:

Rochester and Mankato Home Mortgage Trainings
Rochester and Mankato area partners: Join us for an upcoming in-person home mortgage training to brush up on your Minnesota Housing knowledge and skills.   
Each session will cover borrower eligibility for Start Up, Step Up and downpayment loans and the forms and documents needed to close these loans. Loan officers, underwriters, processors, closers and post-closers are all encouraged to attend.

Conventional Cash to Close Grant Deadline
Conventional loans including the Cash to Close Grant must close by December 31, 2017 to be eligible.
