Now is the time to build momentum by getting connected and taking advantage of everything campus has to offer. Whether you are meeting with advisors, visiting tutoring and support services, getting involved in clubs and organizations, or reaching out to faculty and peers, these early steps make a big difference. Student Services is here to support your success, and we encourage you to jump in, stay engaged, and start the semester strong.

Pirate Tip of the Week: Build Your Success Network Early 📈
|
-
Attend one club or organization meeting to get connected
- Introduce yourself to at least one professor or instructor and note their office hours
- Schedule a tutoring, advising, or success coaching appointment early
- Identify one campus resource that supports your academic, personal, or career goals
- Block time on your calendar for studying, self-care, and involvement
|
Checking off even a few of these this week can help you stay engaged, organized, and set up for a successful semester. Challenge: How many can you check off by the end of this week? Aim for at least two and take the first steps toward building habits that support your success all semester long.

Rich Picone
Student Activities Board (SAB) Director & Office of Student Engagement Intern, Class of 2026
|
|
When I first started at Seton Hall, it was easy to keep my head down and get through the day. Taking that first step in getting involved not only helped me feel more connected to campus, but it also pushed me to grow in confidence and discover more about myself. My advice: you don't have to change everything at once, just take one small step. You never know where it might lead.

The Student Activities Board has held a total of 66 events, with cumulative attendance of 19,543 students — a 5% increase from last year. IHS Student Activities has held a total of 20 events during the academic year with a cumulative attendance of 2,813 — a 23% increase from last year.

"IHSC does a great job with the events. Thank you for all that you do for us!" - SHU Student

Student Services is launching an initiative called Survey Squad!
|
Join the Survey Squad 📊 Amplify the Student Voice 📣
|
Want to help shape the Seton Hall experience? We're launching the Survey Squad, a new paid student employment team dedicated to boosting student voice, strengthening campus feedback, and driving real change.
|
As part of the Squad, you'll:
|
-
Be a survey ambassador and help create clear, relevant, student-centered surveys.
- Work with campus departments to make sure student feedback is heard loud and clear.
- Why join? Because students know students best. And your voice (and influence!) can help shape everything from programs and services to the overall campus experience.
-
If you want to make an impact, amplify student voices, and help create a culture where feedback fuels real improvements, the Survey Squad wants you.
- Be part of something new. Be the reason student feedback sparks change.
