Dear Friend,
Each day brings fresh reminders of the importance and urgency of our work. Just this week Huong Hoa residents Ho Van Tam and Ho Van Nhoc contacted our teams to report a cluster bomb they discovered while working on their small farm. When PeaceTrees responded to the call-out, our team found 60 volatile cluster munitions buried in the ground. These cluster munitions were located near the Laos border, close to the site of the PeaceTrees newest project, the Ra Man Kindergarten, which will be built on safely cleared land over the next few months.
This lifesaving work is only possible because of concerned, generous supporters like you. And, because there is so much left for us to do, we are grateful to have you standing with us and with the people of Vietnam to address the legacy of the Vietnam War and provide safety and opportunity to thousands of families.
With appreciation,
Claire Yunker, Executive Director
