Words Matter » Throughout the 2016 election cycle, we shared a number of resources from our Voices of the Future program. We will continue to update the Voices of the Future page with new resources encouraging students to use speech and debate skills inside and outside the classroom to get involved in our democratic society. New Speech Training App »Practice speeches just got a whole lot easier. The NSDA has partnered with Say It Media, Inc. to provide a speech and debate perspective and create topics for their speech training app, LikeSo! LikeSo helps you train against verbal habits and practice speaking articulately, confidently, and without all of those “likes,” “sos," and other filler words. The app calculates an Articulate Score grade (A+ thru Uh Oh!) based on the percentage of non-filler words over total words spoken and your pace. LikeSo is available in the App Store for just $0.99. Give it a try and then use thissurveyto let us know what you think! Your suggestions on how to make the app more successful in a squad or classroom environment will go straight to the developers for consideration as part of the next version.
