International Student Reminders
Immigration Compliance Reminder for F-1 Graduate Students
The Office of International Programs (OIP) welcomed around 30 graduate international students on campus last Wednesday. We wish our new and continuing a wonderful start of the semester. A few immigration reminders for F-1 students:
If you are a new student just arriving at Seton Hall, please be sure to complete the Check In process via the International Student and Scholar Portal(ISS Portal). Click on OIP Requests. The two forms you will need to complete are the F-1 Student Contact Information Update and New Student Arrival Form.
Enroll full time every semester. If you are in your last semester of study and you have no more classes to take, you can register the remaining credits you have to graduate. Please be reminded, if you only have one class left to graduate for Fall 2025, the last class cannot be an online class. Please complete a Reduced Course Load Form in the ISS Portal.
If Fall 2025 is your last semester of study and you have less than full time course load to take, before the start of the semester, please go to the ISS Portal and submit a Reduced Course Load Form (this form is previously known as the Part-Time Enrollment Form).
Clear your student account balance. An outstanding student account balance of more than $1,000 will cause a financial hold on your student account. You will not be able to register for Fall 2025 classes with a financial hold. This can lead to failure to maintain immigration status. The last day of Add/Drop is September 2.

-
Once again, only 3 online credits or one online class can be counted towards full-time enrollment. A hybrid class which has in person components can be considered as an in-person class.
